YOU MUST BE BORN AGAIN! (John 3:7)
God is Love and He is a loving Father, no doubt about it. But God is Holy and detest sin. He loves the sinner but hates the sin. He does not want to leave His beloved people in sin. After the fall of Adam and Eve, He lost not only them but all their descendants, all of us, all humanity, irrespective of race, colour, creed or gender.
His love for humanity, compelled Him to find a way to bring them back to Himself. The answer was for humanity to be saved from the condemnation of the sin of their forefathers Adam and Eve. Salvation was vital from then onwards.
A sinless person was required to be a sacrifice for the redemption of humanity. Jesus Christ was that person.
The message of the Gospel has always been: “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand”. Matthew 3:2 John the Baptist, the forerunner of Jesus Christ, The Saviour, preached this message, day and night.
Jesus Christ, his successor, preached the same message “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand“ Matthew 4:17. Peter, the first Disciple of Jesus Christ to preach the Gospel after Jesus ascended to Heaven, preached the same message.
Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptised in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit." Acts 2:38.
Repentance is turning to God, from old ways of living that are not pleasing to Him. Remember that the Bible says, “ For ALL have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God” (ALL) Romans 3:23
John 3:3,7 and 13-17
3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a man be born again (spiritually)he cannot see the kingdom of God. 7 Marvel not that I (Jesus)said unto you, You must be born again (spiritually). 13 And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but (except)he that came down from heaven (Jesus is speaking of himself) even the Son of man (Jesus)which is in heaven. 14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent (snake) in the wilderness even so must the Son of man (Jesus) be lifted up: ( talks of the rising of Jesus from the dead) 15 That whosoever believeth in him (in Jesus) should not perish, but have everlasting life. 16 For God so loved the world (all humanity) that He (God) gave His only begotten Son (Jesus),that whosoever believeth in Him (Jesus) should not perish (not spend unending life in Hell) but have everlasting life ( live forever in Heaven) 17 For God sent not His Son (Jesus) into the world to condemn the world; but that the world ( humanity) through Him (Jesus) might be saved.
We, all of us, the whole humanity are born sinners. We inherited sin from our forefathers Adam and Eve. We are separated from God from birth. We need a Saviour who will plead our case before a Merciful God who has provided a way for us through His Love.
“For all have sinned, and fallen short of the glory of God” Romans 3:23. Sin separated us from God and removed us from His Presence.
The way is Jesus Christ “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” John 14:6 (the reason everyone of us need Jesus Christ, the Saviour).
The Bible is Infallible
Biblical infallibility is the belief that what the Bible says regarding matters of faith and Christian practice is wholly useful and true. It is the "belief that the Bible is completely trustworthy as a guide to salvation and the life of faith and will not fail to accomplish its purpose. What happens to those who believed, those who believed before and turned away from God, as well as those who did not believe?
The Book Of Life
Apostle Paul talked about the Book of life
- Philippians 4:2-3 "I implore Euodia and I implore Syntyche to be of the same mind in the Lord. And I urge you also, true companion, help these women who labored with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and the rest of my fellow workers, whose names are in the Book of Life."
- AND
- Revelation 2:15: "And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire".
The only reason I am rejoicing and happy is because my name is written in the Book of Life, by having accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour and getting others to do the same.
Big Question: Why would God be bothered about humanity so much as to even sacrifice His Son?
Please read the following: (taken as it appears in the Bible)
Satan Bound 1,000 Years
20 Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, having the key to the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. 2 He laid hold of the dragon, that serpent of old, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years; 3 and he cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal on him, so that he should deceive the nations no more till the thousand years were finished. But after these things he must be released for a little while.
The Saints Reign with Christ 1,000 Years
4 And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was committed to them. Then I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands. And they lived and reigned with Christ for a[a] thousand years. 5 But the rest of the dead did not live again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. 6 Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection. Over such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years.
Satanic Rebellion Crushed
7 Now when the thousand years have expired, Satan will be released from his prison 8. and will go out to deceive the nations which are in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle, whose number is as the sand of the sea. 9 They went up on the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city. And fire came down from God out of heaven and devoured them. 10 The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where[b] the beast and the false prophet are. And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.
The Great White Throne Judgment
11 Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. And there was found no place for them. 12 And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God,[c] and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books. 13 The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works. 14 Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. 15 And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.
Revelation 20:4-15
Anyone whose name was either never been written in the Book of Life (“vessels of wrath prepared for destruction” – Romans 9:22)
or He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life; but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels- Revelation 3:5
Solution: “YOU MUST BE BORN AGAIN”
Remember: God so loved (you) the world that He sacrificed the life of His Son to pay for your sins so you can return to Him. To those who never received Jesus Christ as their personal Saviour, remember, your name will not be in the Book of Life unless you do so. To those who once were saved but went away from the Saviour, remember, your name will stay blotted out of the Book of Life unless you return to Christ.
To my fellow believers: Let’s not keep it to ourselves. No one deserves the lake of fire.
